  1. The name of my district is Socks. It is situated in the townland of Shranacrannaghy in the parish of Killargue in the Barony of Dromahair. The number of families living in my townland is five and these consist of around twenty three people. The family name most common is Mac Keon. All the houses (one are) except one are thatched and white washed. There are no old people in the district. The houses are more numerous now than in olden times only one house being in
