A great snow storm occurred in the year 1893, in the month of February. It began on Friday evening and lasted until Saturday evening. It was about twenty nine or thirty feet from the ground. Many people in this locality used to rear sheep in those years. It killed eight sheep belonging to Bob Nolan and also some sheep owned by James Harrington.
