Ar an leathanach seo

  1. The farm animals at home are the cow, horse, ass, goat, pig and the gennet. Some cows have names such as a black and white cow is called a magpie, brown cows are called jerseys and a cow with horns is called a Polly. Some people say "How-How" when they are driving cows.
    In this parish the cowhouse is called a byre. Some farmers that have only two or three cows have small byres and those that have ten or eleven cows have big byres. Cows are tied around the neck with a chain. The tyings are made of iron and are bought in the shops.
