  1. A good deal of ancient crafts are dying out now such as weaving, scutching, and other old Irish industries.
    There was a family of nailers living at a crossroads in Cattan and it is still called the Nailors "Cross". Their names were Mulherns but they are all dead now and their trade with them.
    There was an old weaver named Tom Morris but he is now dead. He lived in Clonee and his trade is gone to.
