    There once lived a boy in the parish of Listowel who thought he never could be frightened.
    He lived with his father in a little thatched house by the roadside. One day his father went out to catch the horse and when he brought her to the gate a woman appeared in red and frightened the horse away. This was done three times and he failed to drive out the horse. He went in and told his son, the father said he would give him a pound if he brought
