  1. The landlord for Asdee West was William Creagh Hickie of Kilelton.
    Some of them were good landlords and some of them were very hard on their tenants. The family were settled in the district for over a hundred years. They bought the land. The land was divided into farms under their guidance. Farms were sub-divided among members of families on marriage. Tithes were collected in money in former times. The Hickie family built a church in Asdee.
