    Oh Brother dear excuse me for delaying to write
    so long.
    But now Im at my leisure I will compose a song
    Whilst here amongst this class & race great changes
    I have seen.
    Since I left my dear old birthplace called
    charming Beencuneen.
    II
    Twas at the fair of Causeway many a pleasant
    day I spent.
    But now that Im far far away I must be quite
    content
    If being in April '68 on board the European
    That I bade farewell to Causeway and likewise
    to Beencuneen.
    III
    I've roamed along by that spring well
    That has
    Like wise round Poll a tarbh where the tide rolls in
    and out
    I've often gazed with pleasure on the strand at fair Cuaisín
