- Once there were two brothers and every night they went hunting black-birds and this night a black-bird held flying before them all night. At last the black-bird perched on a furze bush and one of the men was going to strike it when it said "na bhuail mé" and one of the men caught it and carried it home. When they arrived home the cock began to crow and held crowing until they left the bird go and every night after that when the men would go out they would see the same black-bird.
