- Long ago the tailors went around from house to house to sew They were called journey-men tailors They got their feeding or some small present. They stayed a week or more in every house and they had machines with them to sew for the people. The old tailors had no machines until those late years, they made and sewed the clothes with their hands. They made wrappers for men and suits(continues on next page)
