    One summer a bird of a dark colour and with a cross on his bill...

    built his nest in one of our stables. There were five young ones and they never came back.
    Blue-tits and crossbills and swallows build their nests in stables.
    A crane has such long legs that he makes a nest with a hold in the bottom and his legs can be seen protruding from it.
    If boys rob a robins nest they will get warts on their hands.
    The reason why a blackbird has a yellow bill is that he dipped his bill in a pot of honey.
    If anybody robs a swallows nest and if he has a cow milking, the cow woul dmilk blood and the swallows would desert the place. Swallows used to build their nests in our barn and one day someone poked
