  1. In the country of Leix St Fintan built seven chapels. He drew the stones with a horse by night and the enemy knocked the chapels as fast as they were built. It was said he built a chapel in a night.
    There was a scarcity of water and St. Fintan stuck his stick in the ground and a spring sprang up. There was a Protestant family living near the well and the woman used the water. There used to be a trout in the water
