  1. There is a holy well near Athy and from generation to generation it is called Tuberara.
    When St. Brigid came to Kildare she was walking one day a thorn happened to go up her foot. She saw a well nearby and washed her feet in it with a piece of cloth and when she was leaving she left the cloth on the bank. From that on people get cured of any disease they have. They have to visit the well three times or not be cured.
