    In this village of Bornacurry there lived a man named Tomas a Durca. He got his name from the stick or siterle he used at faction-fighting. He was never seen but his head and hands were all bruised and cuts. He was a very good faction fighter.
    When he used look at his watch he would say "Oh it is eleven o'clock and not a blow struck yet" On certain days that they had appointed the people two or three miles from the place where they were fighting could hear them hushing and the loud shouting
