    from Indian meal. Cooked properly this was a very whole-some meal, so much so that the late Dr. Kelly bishop of Ross when he came to this part of the country at first, strongly advised the children of his diocese to use it for breakfast dinner and supper.

  2. The food in the old times was not as nice and as fine as as the food nowadays. The people used have griddle-cake, stampy, and stir-about.
    When people were going to America they used spend weeks making stampies because stampies would never get stale.
    The people used potatoes for breakfast dinner and supper and they used have flour cake only for Christmas.
