    Long ago the poor people made their own goods ,because they were too poor and therefore could not afford to pay for them.They made baskets ,dye, candles,and many other things. There was an old smith who lived in this parish long ago ,his name was John Moore.He made spades ,gates,ploughs and hangers.
    The people killed cows long ago and from the tallow of them made candles.They melted the tallow and they had a shape in which they poured the tallow into.They placed a thread in the middle of the mould which stood
