  1. My father Patrick Glennon had a very strange adventure with the fairies one night when coming home from a dance held in Walshestown.
    He was crossing the fields about midnight when he heard strange noise in the next field and looking across the hedge saw a lot of little men playing football in the moonlight. As he was a good footballer himself he thought he would have a game.
    When he went into the field the ball came over near him and he made a kick at it but one of the little men kicked it away from him.
    He raced away until he fell
