    The most common birds in our district are the robin the sparrow the williewagtail the swallow the wren the linnet the bullfinch the starling the thrush the chaffinch the greenfinch the blackbird the yellowhammer the crow and the magpie.
    The robin builds her nest in a mossy bank she builds it of sticks and feathers She lays seven or eight eggs They are white with a brown dot She stays about four weeks on the nest.
    The thrush builds her nest in a bush she builds it of mud and sticks. She lays four or five eggs they are blue. The sparrow builds her nest in a bush she builds it of moss grass and feathers She lays seven or eight brown
