    The snipe builds its nest in marches and bogs.
    The pheasant goes to a dry briary gripe to build her nest.
    The wild duck's eggs are similar to the tame duck's eggs.
    The snipe lays a small egg with dark spots on it.
    The pheasant's eggs are like the turkey's eggs only not so big.
    When boys rob nests older people tell them that the bird will forsake the nest and eggs.
    This is the story that is told of the robin's red breast: When our Lord was crowned with thorns the robin came and tried to pull out some of the thorns. In doing so a drop of blood fell on its breast, and every robin has a red breast ever since.
