  1. The Potato Crop
We sow potatoes in our farm. We sow about an acre every year and we sow the same amount always. The farmer prepares the ground and the ground is not manured before turning up. The potatoes are sown in drills nearly always.
Before the drills are made the land is ploughed twice and harrowed and all the lumps are broken and then the drills are made with a plough. Wooden ploughs were used one time and there is non left now. The spades are not made locally they are bought in the shop.
