- (ar lean ón leathanach roimhe)There is also a stone in the shape of a cross over the well and beside this stone there is a small pebble used to draw a cross on the stone before leaving the well. There is a story told about this "stone at cross." It is said it was taken for a flag to put over something. In the middle of the night it was seen coming back in the air and resting at Saint Agatha's well. In the morning it was in the very same way as it before it was taken. No fish was ever seen in Saint Agatha's well not any Holy Well that my grandmother knows about. No bush grows at Saint Agatha's well now. It was cut down for firewood. The stump is there yet and rotting away. A little rose tree is growing there now. No body is known to have sown the seed or planted the tree.
