And several bands the dead march played as the procession is moved on.
And the mourners there could shed a tear for our patriot who is gone.

To show respect to Patrick and to his last remains,
And twenty thousand people as the news-papers did show
Till they layed him in Glassnevin our hero from Mayo
But now alas he is dead and gone for him we will always pray(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)
