They were supposed to have come over during the Plantation of Ulster and settled down in Alla. The child, Florence Anderson, who brought this information could not find out how it came to be called Alla.Ardeelin.This is another townland near Alla and Cashel. It means the height of the seagulls. The seagulls fly very high about this place.
