   At a later date he met with an accident coming from Donegal one Saturday evening and he died on the roadside.    The rudiments of education given were very elementary indeed. Once, each winter, Paddy Furey visited the pupils in the neighbourhood and asked them to learn the spelling of two words in preparation for the annual visit of the inspector. The inspector , to show his "rescue from Rome" publicly ate meat on Friday.
