- (ar lean ón leathanach roimhe)People in olden times had to grind their own meal with stones for there was no such thing as mills or white bread. The people had usually three meals in the day.
- In olden times the people had only three meals in the day. For their morning meal they had potatoes and butter. For their dinner they had potatoes, oat bread, and milk. For their supper they had oat bread, butter and sweet milk. They had no knives or forks. They used to peel the potatoes with their fingers. They had no plates, they ate their dinners out of vessels called nuggins. They had spoons in olden times to eat their dinner with. The nuggins are made of wood.
