Bird-nesting and collecting flowers
I've roved through brake and ben -

There, wildbirds nest, and choice wild flowers
Bloom in profusion when
Dame Nature decks the fragrant bowers
In Cregnahorna glen. There boys and girls, on Sundays eves,
Assembled on the green,
And danced, beneath the hazel leaves,
Till dusk closed o'er the scene
The echoes mocked their laughter gay-
Long years have flown since then!
And I, today, am far away
