   And when we live in Dartfield before we make a start
   We'll consecrate our (houses) home to the dear Sacred Heart
   That God may guide and guard us and keep us from all harm,
   And bless us with the best of luck in our new house and farm.
   Written in 1923 on getting a new Sacred Heart lamp.
   It was on Christmas eve nineteen twenty three,
   We lighted this lamp Sacred Heart before Thee,
   And now dearest Lord as you look on its light,
   We ask you to guard us by day and by night,
   Guide all our footsteps as we go out and come in,
   And keep us for ever from danger and sin,
   Don't forget anyone, the big or the small,
   The absent and present watch over us all,
   Fill our dear home with gladness and peace,
   Where Thy love and Thy honour shall ever increase,
