- There is a holy well a long distance from this district.
It is situated in a wild lonely place in the middle of a bog.
There are no walls or trees surrounding it.
It is in a very low place and there is a little stream running from it.
It is called Kierans well or Cíorán deriving its name from St Kieran who visited it long ago
They usually visit it on the Sundays in September.
The prayers usually said are five Our Fathers and five Hail Mary's
There are three small hits situated near the well which are used to count the rounds
Five Our Fathers and Five Hail Mary;s are supposed to be said in each of the three hills first.
