    My mother told me about the long navy blue cloak worn by women long ago. It had a hood made of the same material. There were generally got as a wedding cloak but the material was so strong that they lasted a life time.Our teacher told us that even up to 1920 the young girls in Kinsale town wore those cloaks going out to early mass.
