Curragh bridge it left the track, and the guards that was behind in the van of the goods train was screeching and roaring that the men in the engine heard him , and stopped the train. It was taken from the track, and left in a field for two days. The train broke the planks and they had to be fixed. Drought
There was a terrible drought period in 1931. All the wells and loughs were dried up by the heat. Cattle, and Sheep died and many birds. People had to travel a long distance for water.- Bailitheoir
