"O" said she if you shake salt on them, nothing will go near them, she did so and nothing went near them. But at once the heap of potatoes got small and they died for the want of food. The people died in hundreds and they were so poor that had no money to buy coffins so they got one with a door on the bottom of it and they used to put the corpse in it and let them down in the grave and bring home the coffin.(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)
