  1. This is in the townland of Errew. Frank Doyle who is over sixty years of age says he heard from his father that the place shown in the accompanying photo is the entrance to a cave where mass used to be said in the penal days. There was what seemed to be a dolmen at the entrance to this cave but the stones were taken away six or seven years ago for building purposes.
    Hugh Duffy who died six years ago at the age of 71 said he heard in his young days that this cave which lies between Drumbreavlis[?] fort and Errew fort was a passage for the fairies between the two forts.
