- Lahardane is my townland. It is in the parish of Ballybunion, and in the barony of Irraghti Connor, County Kerry. The word Lahardane means half the height.
The names of some fields in it are The Pump Field, Páirc an Tobar, and Páircín. It was called The Pump Field, because long ago there was a pump there but it closed in. The remains of it can yet be seen. Páirc an Tobar means the field of the well. There is a well in this field. Páircín means the little field.
There is a reservoir also in Lahardane which supplies water to Ballybunion.
Lahardane is founded on the east by the townland of Gortnaskeha, which means the field of the bushes. In it there are a great many bushes, one of which(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)- Bailitheoir
