Once Dan O'Sullivan, Dromore was employed by the County Council cleaning a drain between Incheenviema and Clounlara. The drain was soft and he used to have a plan to keep him from sinking. Where it was wide he used to have two planks. One day while he was working in the drain a Commercial traveller who was passing the road stopped and asked him how much a week he was getting for doing such hard work. Dan said fifteen shillings a week. Fifteen shillings a week and your board said the traveller. Yes says Dan and two boards sometimes.
