Ar an leathanach seo

  1. At the north-west extremity of the Currah, where the road enters the townland of Rathbride, there is a square stone raised on a small mound. It is about 33 inches by 44 and about 3 ft high. It was evidently hammered and on top there is a hollow about 1 foot square, but shallow and evidently made with a chisel. It is called the wart-stone and is supposed to be the base of a cross erected by St. Brigid to mark the limit of her pasturage. People suffering from warts are said to be cured by touching this stone.
