- (ar lean ón leathanach roimhe)is a fort there.
Another field named Droicead because there is a gully over a big stream of water there.
Another one is named the field of the grave. A few years ago the owner of it was ploughing it for the first time having recently reclaimed it and encountered a grave made up of mason work as nice as could be executed. The surveyors were going to explore it but they were called off unexpectedly.
Other fields are named "An Pairc Clé". An Páirc huí agus an pairchín óire stóch. It is not known how they got their names - I am living in the townland of Kilmartrin, Donoughmore, Co. Cork, and many of the fields there have very strange names.
Some of these are, -:
"The well field" because there is a well in it.
"The fort fields" because there is a fort between the two fields.
"The Paircin á Coinnghar", it is not known how it got this name.(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)- Bailitheoir
