- Churns:
were made by Jer Moynihan, Lisheen, He charged 11/- for them. The smith made a stand for the barrel churn for 8/-.Wheels
were made by Dan Linehan and Mick Kelleher for three pounds.Three neighbours had a kiln between them. When burning limestone five baskets of dry turf were put at the bottom of the kiln. On top of that broken lime-stone was put. About four layers of each filled the kiln. A few coals of fire were then put in at the eye which was then closed with a few green sods.
There was a limestone quarry at Carn Duilcín owned by Morgan MacSweeney. There was also one at Tower. (Teachair Luachra)
Daniel Mulcahy was a good kiln-maker.(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)- Bailitheoir
