The seventh son or daughter is said to have a cure for a (sore-mouth) toothache. It is something like a bit of dough. The posthumous child is also said to have a cure for a sore-mouth, by breathing three times into the sufferer's mouth. I do not know of any certain day on which a child should have a cure.
- Long ago there were no doctors so people had to find out cures for themselves. They made a poultice of sugar finely pounded and mixed it with soap. This was put to cases of blood poison.(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)
