- an old shop
There were two women living in South Lodge about forty years ago. Their names were Mary and Josie Murphy. One of them was deaf. They had a shop and when they would ask anything from Mary she would say "what what" and when you would ask credit from Josie she would say "Tol-lol". These women were called "Mary what what" and "Josie Tol-lol". they lived in an old house which belonged to Mr David Quilan. The house is to be seen yet, it is being repaired now. James Brennan lived there since the two women died.
