There used to be wisps of straw lit from the chapel to the horse of the pair who were married
The runaway matches a boy and a girl would meet in a certain place then they would go to a house where they knew they would be kept. They would stop there and the match would be made. When they would receive the money some would go to America and others would get there fathers place.
