    It is the first day of Lent and ashes is blessed at Mass and made as a sign of the Cross on the peoples foreheads. People usually fast from something such as sugar, eggs and the boys fast from tobacco and cigarettes.
    Good Friday is kept in remembrance of the death of Christ. There is a cross left at the altar so the people kiss the hands and feet.
    Easter Sunday Christ arose from the dead, the people eat two or three eggs on that day.
    There are races in Milltown and they stay there until Easter Monday. Whit Sunday is two Sundays after Ascension Thursday. On May day the people have a lot of superstition they will
