made every day. There was a cross cut on top of every cake when made.
The flour bread was baked in an oven and a potato cake baked in a pan and an oatmeal cake was baked in a griddle. The oatmeal cakes was often baked in front of the fire, standing against a support. A support was called a wooden stand with three legs. Griddle bread was made long ago.
