Nobody would venture to take the treasure. The hare is still living she escapes unhurt no matter how many hounds follow her, it is often there were six hounds after her in a bare field. One day a man fired a shot at her, he was sure he had her killed, but when he went to take her up he took up a thistle in his hand instead.
