My native village is not mentioned in any song or storey, but the reason why it is called "Cloonflynn" is before the land was striped twenty years ago the owners name was Mr. Flynn. The ruins of Roslea Chapel are still to be seen about "100" yards from our house. The steps of the altar and gallery are to be seen yet so that our village is in the half parish of Mayo or in the parish of Roslea. There are two bogs in it. There is only one important wood it is called the "dark avenue" leading to the college. The trees are all of the same height and they are woven together on top. The college is a big building (leading to the college) dedicated to the Sacred Heart.(continues on next page)
