- There lived long ago two brothers of the Mac Sweeneys. They were known as the "Big Sweeney" and the "Small Sweeney". "Small Sweeney" was good for nothing and "Big Sweeney" said that he would not have this. Next day he made up his mind to drown "Small Sweeney". When morning dawned he put "Small Sweeney" into a bag; put the bag on his back and set out for Lough Corrib.Before he went far, he saw a man coming towards him who had a herd of twenty cattle. Fear siezed "Big Sweeney" and he threw the bag on the road and jumped inside the wall. When the herdsman came to the bag he gave it a kick. The kick hurt "Small Sweeney" very much and he cried.
