- Long ago it was the custom of the place, when a person died, the corpse was borne to the grave in a cart drawn by one horse. When the coffin was taken out of the cart the horse and cart were pulled round it three times. The horse was then taken from the cart and brought round the cart three times. The corpse was then buried.
- A coal is taken from bonfire and thrown into the potato field.
It is right to have a bone in the fire.
Old people walk around the bonfire three times. We cannot remember whether tuaitheall or deiseal.
Rosary is said and the people who are giving the responses throw a pebble into the fire for every Hail Mary.
