    If anyone finds an old rusty horse-shoe it is supposed to bring luck.
    If one loses a tooth he should throw it over his left shoulder, then he will be lucky.
    If one gets the wish bone of a fowl he gets somebody else to hold the wish bone between the small finger and the finger next to it. The person who gets the bit of bone with the head on it gets the wish.
    If a spoon falls and turns upside down that will be a disappointment for the person who dropped it.
    If a hen is seen having a piece of straw hanging out of her there are visitors coming to that house.
    If a person meets a red-haired woman on the way to a fair he is advised to turn back or fortune will be against him.
    When a person sees a lamb for the first time in the year if the lamb is facing the person he will be lucky during the year.
    To find a four leaved clover is lucky.
    To put one's clothes on inside out is also lucky.
