- (continued from previous page)aunt's house. He had two roads to choose from, one down the boreen and along the main road, the other, a path across the fields with a big rath half-way. He went along the path because it was shorter.
When he came to the rath he saw a town before him and a fair going on. He saw the cattle and sheep running about the street and their owners trying to control them. He noticed the people making way for him. He also saw three fiddlers at the corner playing old Irish airs.
