    was Mr. Waldron.
    The one in Mr. Begley's field taught Irish and figures. Mr. Mullarkey came from Knock. The school he taught in was built by his pupils and a little house attached to it for the teacher to live in. They did not do much writing in Mr. Mullarkey's school, but many people came to him because he was excellent at arithmetic. The teacher and pupils were used to Irish in the Belisker hedge school, and Mr. Mullarkey encouraged it by using it along with arithmetic. His school was there for years.
