The commonest names of potatoes are: Aran, Banner, Iris Queens, Up-to-dates, Champions, King Edwards, Epicures and Kerr Pinks. The potatoes that are ripe at the end of July are Early Roses and Epicures. These early potatoes are sown in a garden and a spade is used instead of a plough.- Collector
