  1. There are a few monument in this place. There is one in Bekan in the parish Priest's land. It is a high heap of stones and a stone cross at the top of the pile of stones and St. Bekan is buried there. Bekan got its name from him.
    There is another in Carrowkeel. It is a big thick flag and a stone cross near it. It is in the side of the road and it is supposed St Patrick left the track of his knee on it.
    There is a place down in Greenwood where Diarmuid and Grainne lived and it is called Leabaid Diarmuid agus grainne. There are three stones standing up straight and one flag over
